Excelsior Classical Academy’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Excelsior Classical Academy defeated Oxford Prep 15-0 on Friday. Ryan Dippolito struck out Cole Pegram to get the last out of the game.

Excelsior Classical Academy secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the fourth inning.  Excelsior Classical Academy offense in the inning was led by Wren Hash, Thomas McDermott, Hamilton Malott, Dippolito, Griffin Kovalesky, and  Brayden Mottola, all driving in runs in the inning.

Excelsior Classical Academy fired up the offense in the first inning.  Hash singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Excelsior Classical Academy put up nine runs in the fourth inning.  Hash, McDermott, Malott, Dippolito, Kovalesky, and  Mottola each had RBIs in the frame.

Henry Sloop was on the pitcher’s mound for Excelsior Classical Academy. The righthander surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Pegram led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Oxford Prep. The righthander went two and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on six hits and walking one.  Jayden Covert threw two-thirds of an inning out of the bullpen.

Excelsior Classical Academy racked up 14 hits.  Malott, Kovalesky, Mottola, Cameron Harper, Dippolito, McDermott, and Hash each managed multiple hits for Excelsior Classical Academy.  Hash, McDermott, Dippolito, Harper, Mottola, Kovalesky, and Malott each collected two hits to lead Excelsior Classical Academy.  Excelsior Classical Academy didn’t commit a single error in the field. Hash had the most chances in the field with six.  Excelsior Classical Academy tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Mottola led the way with three.
