Two Pitchers Rally Together in No-Hitter as Excelsior Classical Academy Defeats Roxboro Community Charter

Excelsior Classical Academy’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Excelsior Classical Academy defeated Roxboro Community Charter 4-0 on Thursday. Henry Sloop induced a groundout from L. Lappin to get the last out of the game.

Excelsior Classical Academy got on the board in the second inning.  Patrick Browning singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Excelsior Classical Academy notched three runs in the third inning.  Excelsior Classical Academy big bats were led by Cameron Harper and Wren Hash, who all drove in runs.

Harper led things off on the mound for Excelsior Classical Academy. The righty allowed zero hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out 11 and walking one.

A. White was on the hill for Roxboro Community Charter. The pitcher allowed six hits and four runs over four innings, striking out four and walking zero.  J. Oliver threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Excelsior Classical Academy tallied eight hits on the day.  Sloop and Harper each collected multiple hits for Excelsior Classical Academy.  Harper and Sloop each collected two hits to lead Excelsior Classical Academy.  Excelsior Classical Academy didn’t commit a single error in the field. Hash had  11 chances in the field, the most on the team.
