MS Baseball vs. Triangle Day MS – Monday, April 8, 2022

Four hits from Wren Hash helped lead the way for Excelsior Classical Academy over Triangle Day School – Middle 15-2 on Friday.  Hash doubled in the first, singled in the second, doubled in the third, and singled in the fifth.

Excelsior Classical Academy got things started in the first inning when Brayden Mottola drew a walk, scoring one run.

Excelsior Classical Academy put up five runs in the third inning.  The offensive onslaught by Excelsior Classical Academy was led by Griffin Kovalesky, Cameron Harper, Hash, and Henry Sloop, all driving in runs in the frame.

Ryan Dippolito led things off on the mound for Excelsior Classical Academy. The bulldog lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and two runs while striking out five.

Sam Bowers was on the pitcher’s mound for Triangle Day School – Middle. The pitcher allowed eight hits and eight runs over two innings, striking out four.  Nello Caparoni threw three innings in relief.

Excelsior Classical Academy saw the ball well today, racking up 16 hits in the game.  Hash, Kovalesky, Harper, Mottola, and Dippolito all collected multiple hits for Excelsior Classical Academy.  Hash went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Excelsior Classical Academy in hits.  Excelsior Classical Academy tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Kovalesky led the way with three.

Connor Winstead led Triangle Day School – Middle with one hit in two at bats.
