Falls Lake is not a very tall team. Their Libero is solid and not afraid to hit the floor. Below are a few specifics that I witnessed yesterday and wanted to point out since I will be in Henderson. Hopefully this will be beneficial for practice today. The biggest thing being we should expect to handle a lot of free balls. We need to focus on converting those into aggressive attacks. As far as blockers, #13 is the only one I saw get a hand on a ball and it was a very low tip that she got a piece of.
Libero #1
As noted above she is solid all the way around. Fearless which is incredible since she is so tiny. She can hit, serve and is not afraid to put her body on the line to get to a ball. Here are a few videos of her back row hitting. In the last video notice #6’s freeball. Low and barely over the next. We should watch for this too.
#7
#7 rarely attacks. The main thing with her is awareness of how she pushes the ball, often aiming for corners almost always. I’d suggest not even trying to put up a block. Yes, it’s that often. Here are some examples.
#6
#6 attacks but all bark and no bite. Her biggest strength is her free balls. They are hard a very low, barely clearing the net. Protect to donut at all costs. She also has a hard serve but not very accurate. In the last clip you’ll see the Libero’s serve and back row attack, but another low free ball by #6.
