Two Pitchers Work Together in No-Hitter as Excelsior Classical Academy Defeats Eno River Academy

Excelsior Classical Academy’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Excelsior Classical Academy defeated Eno River Academy 15-0 on Thursday. Patrick Browning struck out #43 to get the last out of the game.

Excelsior Classical Academy secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the fourth inning.  Cannon Close, Hamilton Malott, Camden O’Reilly, Collin Mottola, Browning, and  Jon Luke Harper all drove in runs in the frame.

Excelsior Classical Academy scored eight runs in the fourth inning.  The big inning was thanks to walks by O’Reilly, Mottola, Harper, and Miles Derby, an error on a ball put in play by Malott and Browning, a single by Close, and  by Evan Baker.

Griffin Kovalesky was on the mound for Excelsior Classical Academy. The righty surrendered zero runs on zero hits over three innings, striking out eight.

#11 was on the hill for Eno River Academy. The bulldog lasted two innings, allowing four hits and seven runs while striking out four. #16 and #43 entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one-third of an inning respectively.

Close went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Excelsior Classical Academy in hits.
