Excelsior Classical Academy MS Fall Short to Vance Charter MS Knights, 6-5

Excelsior Classical Academy opened up scoring in the first inning, when Jon Luke Harper grounded out, scoring one run.

Lloyd led things off on the hill for Vance Charter Knights. Lloyd went three innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out two.

Griffin Kovalesky was on the mound for Excelsior Classical Academy. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out five.  Harper and Cannon Close entered the game as relief, throwing three innings and one and one-third innings respectively.

Excelsior Classical Academy racked up seven hits on the day.  Collin Mottola and Close each had multiple hits for Excelsior Classical Academy.  Mottola went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Excelsior Classical Academy in hits.

Vance Charter had seven hits in the game.  Journigan and Martin each managed multiple hits for Vance Charter MS Knights.  Journigan led Vance Charter Knights with three hits in four at bats.  Vance Charter Knights stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Washington led the way with two.
