JonLuke Harper drive in 4 runners in ECA’s victory over Oxford Prep
JonLuke Harper drove in four runs on two hits to lead ECA past Oxford Prep 17-1 on Wednesday. Harper hit a home run to right field in the second inning, scoring two runs, and tripled in the third inning, scoring two.
ECA got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Sidney Schreiber doubled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Sam White doubled, scoring two runs, Will Miller singled, scoring one run, Liam Dippolito singled, scoring one run, and Miles Derby singled, scoring one run.
ECA scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the third inning. Harper tripled, scoring two runs, Hamilton Malott hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Bryce Minor singled, scoring two runs.
Schreiber started on the hill for ECA. The righty allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking none. #5 started on the mound for Oxford Prep. The starting pitcher surrounded 13 hits and 16 runs (non earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking two. White appeared in relief for ECA.
ECA collected 14 hits in the game. Lead off hitter Miles Derby led ECA with three hits in three at bats. White, Schreiber and Dippolito each collected multiple hits for ECA. Derby and Dippolito each stole multiple bases as ECA stole seven bases in the game.
