Excelsior Classical Academy Secures Win Against Eno River Academy

ECA was victorious against Eno River Academy 6-2 in the second game of their doubleheader.

A single by #2 put Eno River on the board in the bottom of the third.

ECA took the lead, 4-2 in the top of the fourth thanks to singles by Sebastian Myers, Miles Derby, and Liam Dippolito.

Jaden McIver earned the win for ECA. He surrendered three hits and two runs over one inning. Hamilton Malott opened the game for ECA. TThe starting pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one asnd walking two. #42 led things off for Eno River. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and two runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking three. Dippolito collected the save for ECA.

Myers seized on his opportunities, leading ECA with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right handed hitter went 1 for 2 on the day. Dippolito went 2 for 3 at the plate to lead ECA in hits. Sidney Schreiber and Derby each stole multiple bases for ECA. ECA stole 9 bases in the game.

#2 and #4 were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Eno River while hitting back-to-back. #2 went 2 for 2 at the plate as he led the team with one run battted in.

ECA plays at home on Wednesday against Vance Charter School.
