Excelsior Classical Academy Defeats Vance Charter School
ECA was victorious bested Vance Charter School 4-0 on Wednesday
ECA opened the scoring in the fourth after Devin Sattterwhite induced Hamilton Malott to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
Sidney Schreiber earned the win for ECA. He gave up three hits and zero runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking one. Satterwhite stepped on the hill for Vance Charter. He surrendered four hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking two. Sam White threw one and one-third innings in relief for ECA. The righty surrendered two hits, striking out one and walking none.
Leadoff hitter Miles Derby led Excelsior with two hits in four at bats. Schreiber, Derby, and White each drove in one run for ECA. JonLuke Harper and Derby each stole multiple bases for ECA. Excelsior stole siz bases in the game.
Vance Charter’s Hunter Sattterwhite made the most of his chances at the plate. The number seven hitter led the Knights with two hits in three at bats. Vance Charter turned two double plays in the game.
